5/30 POSC Meeting Notes
We made progress in our lesson but we're not finished, Andy and Robin will continue leading us through this chapter as we continue to explore whether or not we're wearing emotional masks.
We also discussed wanting to become more knowledgeable about scripture in a Bible Study sense. Our next lesson will be understanding the basics or something of that nature. We'll wrap up this study in about 23 months so we have some time to scout out new lesson plans.
Other items discussed- perhaps getting another color POSC shirt (seeing if the other POSC is interested in getting a different color and ordering some extras for us to purchase). So far I know Andy is interested in buying another one- is anyone else? For me it would depend on the color that is selected- rust orange would be cool?
We are very excited to celebrate Jessica and Angel as part of our POSC family- to welcome them Julia is heading up a shower. This is going to take place in a park- perhaps All Saint's Park or maybe another. Details in process.
5/27, Saturday (the Horse Races May 27th)- this will be an afternoon/no kid thing. We'll meet at Kristy and Mike's at 12:15pm for cake and then head out at around 12:45pm. Our goal is to be at Lone Star no later than 1:15pm (I believe the races begin at 1:30pm).
5/31, Wednesday 6:30pm (Jewelry Party)- Aurora is hosting a end of the year jewelry party to celebrate a very trying and taxing school year. Mostly for good fellowship and yummy snacking but you can look at the newest Premier jewelry lines while we laugh and relax. I hope you all can make it! Please let her know if you are planning on attending or not.
6/6, Tuesday (Meeting)- 7pm
6/20, Tuesday (Meeting)- 7pm
6/24, Saturday (Robin and Andy's Baby Shower)- we're having it at Becky and Chris'. We're also making this one a no kids thing. For fun, the theme will be a Luau and we're dressing up (bright colors, flowers in your hair, etc). I looked through my decorations and I have less than I thought but enough (if you find some items while you're out and about, it would be great to have some more). We'll figure out what everyone's going to bring food-wise at the June 20th meeting. I've got dinner plates, cake plates, napkins, flatware (except forks). I also have lays (sp?) already, as well as some flamingos, a center piece or two, etc etc.
7/4, Tuesday (NO Meeting)
7/18, Tuesday (Meeting)
8/1, Tuesday (Meeting)
8/6, Saturday (Jack's Bday)- we'll be bowling. I'm thinkin' we'll meet at our house for cake and stuff and then we'll caravan to the bowling alley. I may get one lil' tike lane, 1 lane for the older kids, and one lane for the oldest kids (IE: the guys). More details to come.
8/11 & 8/12, (Promise Keepers)- Mike, Todd and I think John are all on board so far- guys this is a great opportunity.
8/15, Tueday (Meeting)
Other activities coming up... we were talkin' about a Rangers Game and Campin' is still an option. Continue to pray for the pregnancies, the adoptions, career opportunities and for God's continual presence in our families, our group, our church, our world.
