6/6 POSC Meeting Notes
6/6 POSC Meeting Notes
We made progress in our lesson but we're not finished, Chris and Becky will lead us through the next chapter. Because the book is wrapping up, we've discussed wanting to become more knowledgeable about scripture in a Bible Study sense so if anyone is up to it, we need a volunteer to scout out a good lesson plan for us (or maybe buy a few and we'll look them over and decide together).
Other items on the agenda- our second POSC shirt (this time around we'd like for both POSCs to have the same shirt and to order for the kids as well). We'll be taking orders and collecting money June 24th. The shirts will cost aprox $7 each. The color will be white and the design is as follows....
Hopefully as of 6/12, its official that Jessica has been adopted. We're planning on welcoming Jessica to the POSC family with a shower that Julia is heading up. This is going to take place in a park- perhaps All Saint's Park or maybe another. Details in process.
6/20, Tuesday (Meeting)- 7pm
6/24, Saturday (Robin and Andy's Baby Shower)- 7pm we're having it at Becky and Chris'. We're also making this one a no kids thing. For fun, the theme will be a Luau and we're dressing up (bright colors, flowers in your hair, etc). If you find some items while you're out and about, it would be great to have some more decorations. We'll figure out what everyone's going to bring food-wise at the June 20th meeting but with the later start time (there's a Church activity early in the evening), we'll probably stick to snackies. I have lays (sp?) already so we're covered there.
7/4, Tuesday (NO Meeting)
7/18, Tuesday (Meeting)
8/1, Tuesday (Meeting)
8/6, Saturday (Jack's Bday)- we'll be bowling. I'm thinkin' we'll meet at our house for cake and stuff and then we'll caravan to the bowling alley. I may get one lil' tike lane, 1 lane for the older kids, and one lane for the oldest kids (IE: the guys). More details to come, I'll need a cake so if anyone is up for the challenge...
8/11 & 8/12, (Promise Keepers)- Mike, Todd and I think John are all on board so far- guys this is a great opportunity.8/15, Tueday (Meeting)
Other activities coming up... we were talkin' about a Rangers Game and Campin' is still an option.
Congrats to Angie and Roy on the birth of their beautiful baby girl Kadence and continining prayers for Robin's pregnancy, the remaining adoption, career opportunities and for God's continual presence in our families, our group, our church, our world.
